Firm rules

**Copy trading** - Copy trading is only allowed between challenge accounts and between instant accounts. **Expert Advisors (EAs)** - EAs are only available as an add-on. - EAs are allowed, only works on MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5. - EA must be customized to suit your trading style. - Identical trades across accounts are not allowed. - Using an EA or trading bot to pass the Challenge Account and then switching to manual trading in the FundedNext Account (or vice versa) is not allowed. - There is a maximum allocation limit of $300,000 for each EA or trading bot's strategy. **News Trading** - Allowed without restriction during evaluation stage - Allowed with restriction on funded stage and instant accounts (Trades executed 5 minutes before and after a High Impact News event are subject to a 40% news profit split rule.) **Inactivity Rule** - Challenge Accounts on FundedNext expire after 60 days of inactivity. In order to keep the account active, traders must place a trade on the account within a consecutive 60 calendar days timeframe. **Drawdown Adjustment Rule for Instant accounts** - If your 6% trailing Max Drawdown resets to the initial balance after reaching a 6% or more profit, maintain a profit buffer to keep trading. Withdrawing all profits will result in account closure. **Maximum Risk at a Time | Funded Accounts Only** - Funded accounts are expected to follow a 3% risk-per-trade guideline, where risk is the maximum potenial loss on a trade based on stop loss placement, the maximum realized and unrealized (Floating) losses across all trades, calculated against the initial account balance. - Breaking the guideline leads to 100% deduction of profit from those violating trades, second violation leads to 100% deduction of the profit generated from the violating trades. The account is then permanently reclassified to the following adjusted parameter, effective at the end of the trading day on which the violation is identified: Allowable cumulative risk is reduced to 1% at a given time. **Key rules** - Quike strike: The FundedNext Quick Strike Parameter is a rule targeting rapid-duration trades closed in under 30 seconds; it is violated when these positions account for 30% or more of your total profits, resulting in a progression freeze for Challenge accounts, or 100% profit forfeiture and potential account termination for Funded accounts. - You must use the same trading strategy and method (manual or EA) during both the Challenge and Funded Account. Switching between them is not allowed. - Utilizing specific asset classes, symbol categories, specific margin or risk usages to pass the evaluation phase and then switching to entirely different asset classes or symbol categories and significantly increasing the margin utilization or risk usages in the FundedNext Account, is prohibited. - Account rolling is strictly prohibited, buying multiple evaluations to sacrifice some while passing others is considered a high-risk, luck-based tactic that violates FundedNext’s principles of skill and responsible trading. Violations may lead to restrictions on new purchases or lifetime allocation limits. - One-sided Betting: One-Sided Betting is a gambling-like trading behavior where a trader takes concentrated directional exposure, opens multiple trades in the same direction, or enters reactive positions without sufficient consideration of market conditions, fundamental news, or technical analysis - Grid Trading: Grid trading is a strategy where a trader places multiple buy and sell orders at different price levels above and below the current market price. The goal is to profit from price fluctuations as the market moves up and down, hitting various price points. - Other prohibited trading strategies: https://help.fundednext.com/en/articles/8020351-what-are-the-restricted-prohibited-trading-strategies?q=risk
